excessive phlegm

I seem to be producing excessive phlemg I have no congestion that is associated with cold etc. I have been diagnosed with gerd and I'm on adaily regiment of protonix, I feel like I always have Junk and something sticky in my throat but when I try to clear it nothing comes up, the morning sre my worst where I'm always clearing small globs out after that nothing just the sensation of my throat being congested, is ther something I can take that is not a prescription drug that may help me

go see a chinese doctor he will cure you; i had the same problem.. he cured me

Hi Keok1,
GERD can cause sore throat, stickiness in the throat, cough and hoarseness of voice. But excessive phlegm due to GERD is very unlikely.

You might be having some other problem in addition to GERD. Your symptoms are suggestive of post nasal drip.
