gerd and asthma

I have  GERD  for about a year or so . Now, asthma and gerd , go together. Went I have asthma start up , my GERD starting acting up also, . I went to a pulmonary doctor and she stated that the gerd cause a lot of gases which goes to the lungs .and damage if  continue .  Gerd Meds did not work. I tried all type.. Is there a study or research for us to  control.

Hi..do u know the root cause of ur GERD?...like a hiatal hernia? Once u know it may be easier to calm it down.

Have u tried elevating the head of ur bed?...or other lifestyle changes? It is important to do this in addition to taking meds.

I am sure there r many study's going on....I am not aware of one at this time.
