hi im 30 woman .ive had gerd for 3 years now wich when it strikes its painful.i take omeraprozole and it settles it a bit.ive learned to live with this now but its still painfull,mainly when i have trapped wind.ive had a camera dowm me laast year and all ok so really the main reason for the question is that does gerd travel in the upper part of my back as i get pains there and deep in my chest.i think ill allways have this but sometimes the pain in my back is strong then i burp alot.any advice

Hi,
The GERD pain is usually felt rising from the stomach or lower chest and it radiates towards the neck, throat and.... occasionally back.
If it is due to GERD, you may find relief with omeprazole.
