im concerned,,,

I have had deep turning in my stomach for the past year- heart burn etc... I had a scope, no cancer, recently I was on a trip, went to a Hotel, my throat closed...could not breath..after going to the ER two times, and to several Dr.s, I was diagnosed with laryngospasm. It has stopped- I took Deglyzerized Licorice, and coconut oil, and cut back on foods.
I am concerned I have something living in my esophagus! I feel activity- turning etc...my throat needs constant clearing. At night, I wake from the turning sensation when I lie on my back? I had a scope done a year ago, I am concerned it could be cancer? How can this sensation wake me up, keep turning in my central stomach, at the breast bone center, and keep making loud noises? I feel something is wrong! The larynogospasm is new- the throat clearing has not stopped for 2 months- I have a constant stomach upset?

Ive had almost this same problem for 3-4 years now and raniditine finally solved it. Tons of different people told me alot of different homeopathic type solutions and i tried alot but they all did slim to nothing. So I wouldnt bother with them. I take 6, 150 mg pills a day.

Hi...it sounds like u may have a condition known as Silent Reflux....and also known as  Laryngopharyngeal Reflux :

Symptoms are :

Continual throat clearing
Chronic throat irritation
Chronic cough
Hoarseness
Excessive phlegm the throat
Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
Constant sensation of something in the throat
Swallowed food comes back up
Post nasal drainage
Weak voice
Cracking voice
Blockage of the breathing passage
Spasm of the larynx (voice box)
Wheezing
Heartburn
This condition is a result of both UES and LES not working correctly.
And it is possible not to have typical gerd/acid reflux  symptoms.

To help, u should elevate the head of ur bed, this way gravity helps keep the acids out of ur esophagus and down where they  belong.

Also u will want to modify ur diet and lifestyle- see the Health Pages at the bottom of this forum for more tips.
