lower left abdomen pain

by kashyap118, Oct 19, 2009 09:39PM
Last sunday I had a large meal in the noon. The next day, I had a hard stomach with heavy belchings, with constipation and loss of appetite. The condition lasted for 2 days. I used rekool-d and sporolac upon my doctors advice on phone. My belchings and hard stomach were gone by tuesday but now I feel a consistent pain in my lower left abdomen, not sharp but disturbing. My stools are loose now with dark green kind of color (no blood). I still have the acidity problem in a less intensity with loss of apetite. Pleae advice.
Note: Last month I was diagnosed with enteric fever, hepatosplenomegaly, and the ultrasound abdomen taken at that time shows no signs of kidney or gall bladder stones.

Hi,
Since you have abdominal pain and loose stools it could be due to gut infection.
Continue taking probiotics.
Have stool test done. If infection is confirmed then a course of antibiotics may have to be taken.
