nissen reversal

I had Nissen fundoplication two years ago, ever since I suffer from terrible bloateness, discomfort, can not vomit if I get sick, also abdominal pain I had never had before the surgery, I had the wrap undone but that DID not change any symptoms, I still have the pain and can not vomit, please advice can I get the FULL reversal as my life is living nightmare, I had to stop working, can not travel go anywehre due to the pain, also can not sleep, I would be very much grateful, thank you, also will provide more details about the symmptoms

Hi...I am so sorry u had this result from the surgery...I am not sure y some have this adverse effect...but many do.

I am not sure about being able to have a complete reversal of this procedure, it may depend on how ur surgeon did it.....u may want to ask him/her about this.

Also do u know if u also have IBS issues which could be causing ur issues...or were u ever tested for H.pylori?

It could be one of these things causing u to feel so poorly...do get checked by ur GI dr to see what else might be going on.

I had the nissen fundoplication two times, first one in 2009 fell apart, did the surgery again in 2010. I live a living nightmare. I wish to have my acid reflux back, almost died, still might. can't eat or drink without pain, 90 pounds, losing more. now have gastroperesis which is just as bad as esophagus attacks. 8-9 hospitaliztations in 7 months. Became depressed, would rather die than live like this. Nissen fundoplicaiton destroyed my body and life. can't do fun things. it caused other physical complications also. living pain all the time. I feel like my doctors shafted me. I would rather have continued to pop 4-6 tums a day and have acid reflux and take my acid reflux med. I could keep weight on and at least eat. Yes, with the fundo, you can't vomit again, i have lots of dry heave that I never had. Lynda Arizona, ps, help me anyone with suggestions. this surgery was the worst mistake of my life. literally.
