novo pantoprazole

hello: I have an inflamed esophagus , i was diagnosed with acid reflux a few years ago. I have been taking novo pantoprazole for a few years and following a diet and everything else (raised bed and etc.) but my inflamed esophagus keeps getting worse. Could it be the novo pantoprazole????

Hi, if u r doing all u should and it sounds like u r, I would ask ur GI Dr to do a PH test to be sure u have high acid, as u can have the same symptoms from  low acid.....

If it is high and the meds r not working ask for a different med...it can happen that a PPI no longer works for u....I had this happen to me hrs of benefit from them and then they stopped working, I now use (only when needed) a H2 blocker which works better for me.

Talk to ur Dr.
