pain in side associated with Gerd?

pain in side associated with Gerd?

I have had a pain in my right  side and sometime in the front or back at my waist line for several months.  I had an ultra sound done.  That test was inconclusive (they weren't sure if they saw a gall stone or not) . I was sent for a Hida Scan which was negative.  Because the pain was persistant (at it's worse it feel like someone kicked me in the side, at it's best it is just uncomfortable.)  So I was sent for a Endoscopy. The result was I have a slightly enlarged bile duct, which the doctor was not concerned about and a very slight indication of the start of Barretts. . There was no indication of any cancer . He percribed Nexium but because of the high cost he suggested Omeprazole DR., which I thought was associatd with GERD.

Could this be the cause of the pain in my side?  I always associated GERD with heartburn which I don't have on a regular basis.

Hi,
The pain of GERD usually felt rising from the stomach or lower chest and it may radiate towards neck, throat and occasionally the back.
For confirmation of GERD 24 hours pH monitoring test can be done.
