phlegm build up/throat problem
I had an appointment at a hospital with a ent doctor because i felt a lump in my throat, they told me everything was fine but there's a build up of phlegm (i guess this is whats causing the lump sensation) would this build up be a cause of GERD/acid escaping into my throat? (I have been diagnosed and taking medication for it)

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I am aware that post nasal drip and sinuses draining into the stomach can create an issue of increased acid production.

It is possible this phlegm is a side effect of the reflux....in addition to the meds, I am sure ur dr told u of the lifestyle changes to help lessen the amount of acid being produced.

Please see our Health Pages here on MedHelp....there is a link in the welcome message at the top of this page or see the HP icon top right.
