i had my gallbladder removed five weeks ago.  doctor found lots of stones and sludge.  was fine the first week.  gradually started to eat and felt nauseaus and pain after about 2 hours when i ate.  have been on low fat diet and i still get that feeling.  doctor put me on priolosac yesterday because he thinks it may be acid reflux.  he also said it will take a while for my body to adjust.  i also feel dizzy now and then.  these symptoms scare me.  is it something more?

in october my doctor changed my synthroid to 175 mg.  do you think i should get that checked?  would that cause me to get dizzy?

Hi,
Up to 40% of patients in whom gallbladder is removed  continue to have abdominal and other symptoms. This is  called postcholecystectomy syndrome. The causes include stone in the common bile duct and sphincter of oddi dysfunction ( the valve at the outlet of bileduct). Acid reflux also can occur.
Rarely neurological symptoms can occur.
You probably have symptoms of Post-cholecystectomy Syndrome.

I had the same kinds of symptoms after I had my gallbladder removed in 2007 and was eventually diagnosed with crohns disease...so be careful if it continues I would go see a gastroenterologist and think about the possibility of getting checked out and make sure there is nothing more going on because it sounds very similar to what happened to me after mine was taken out so just be careful...crohns is not something to play with...Hope you get better...GOD bless
