reflux?

11 yr old regurgates once in a while. had h-pylori 2 yrs ago.  has prevacid was giving 1 in the morning is it ok to give one at night also?   no pain or upset stomach   he says it "just comes up my tube"   about a mouthful or two.  is this reflux?   Help!!!!!!

Sounds like reflux...try elevating the head of his bed...not allowing him to lie down for 3 to 4 hrs after eating and avoid dairy later in the day as it can slow the motility of the LES which can also allow the acids  to " come up his tube"

He should follow a diet of foods that r safe for reflux, but everyone is diff as to what foods r safe for us...I will add a link here for u to use as a guide remove foods that affect u...some on the safe list may be not agree with him as those on the to avoid list may not be reactive to him...so do keep a journal to know which r ok to keep in the diet.
