by silverberg, Nov 01, 2009 03:14PM
I go to the v.a. they gave me medication for H. pylori , I called them back because 2 medications I have 14 days supply and one medication I have only 7 day supply. I checked on the net and the combination I am taking it states take 7-10 days??

can you tell me how long I should take these meds???

OMEPRAZOLE 20MG EC CAP QTY 28 - TAKE ONE TAB , TWICE A DAY

CLARITHROMYCIN 500MG        QTY 28 - TAKE ONE TAB, TWICE A DAY

NOW THIS LAST ONE IS MY CONCERN

AMOXICILLIN 500MG CAP     QTY 28 - TAKE TWO TAB, TWICE A DAY

SEE THEY ONLY GAVE ME 7 DAY SUPPLY OF AMOXICILLIN?
********** (the above was my original question) **********************
I have taken meds for 6 days and enough, yesterday I had dry heaves, would of been better if I would of just vomitted! felt so out of myself and today neck aches and feeling out of self. I think I can live with the indigestion off and on and just need to really watch my diet~! any suggestions, I still have time to take my next dose but scared to!

Hi most meds come with basic instructions as what u found online, BUT ur DR can decide for each individual what and how he wants u to take the meds...he should also know ALL the meds u r on already....if not TELL him right away.

The other person u can check with for interactions is ur pharmacist.

BUT call ur dr and ask how he wants u to take ur meds.

Good luck
