wheezing cough?

hi everyone  this is my first posting   i'm wondering if anyone has a kind of wheezing type cough(? sort of)  from GERD

Hi i have an hiatal hernia and gerd...am due to have it operated on in the next few months and i to have this weird cough...its constantly there .Im not sure that its in my chest as such though??i think its more in my throat.I have a lose rattling sensation like i have to clear my throat or cough quite regular. My surgeon says this is normal with gerd.
