why is it more difficult to swallow when i drink liquid

I have difficulty in swallowing when I eat and drink liquid at the same time. It is as if my throat goes into a spasam.Sometimes the fluid comes back up  after I drink. What would could be the problem?

Hi,
Difficulty in swallowing both solids and liquids could be due to motility disorder.
Upper GI endoscopy has to be done to rule out mechanical causes.
If it is normal, then esophageal manometry is the next test that needs to be done for diagnosing the underlying cause.
