Gastric symptoms off and on.  More good days than bad.  No diarrhea.  Mild nausea.  Frequent belching off and on.  Today did spit up purplish browninsh mostly phlegm.  Large emesis last night but had a lot of shredded wheat.  Frequent little skin infections.  Take Naprolen 2 each day.  Recent antibiotic therapy for skin abscess.  No pain.   Often feel hunger pangs which may really be hunger as appetite is diminished some days.

Hi,
As you have gastric symptoms on and off with nausea and belching, an upper GI evaluation is necessary.
Napralen is a NSAID. It is a risk factor for developing peptic ulcer.
Discuss with your doctor about stopping it.

An upper GI endoscopy has to be done to look for lesions. If ulcer is found, PPI has to be taken for about 4-8 weeks.
