Alcohol after Gallbladder Removal

I had my gallbladder removed 4 months ago.  I was able to handle alcohol up until two weeks ago.  All the sudden it seems that I get intoxicated very quickly.  Does anyone have the same issues or any information on this topic?  Are there any remedies or does the body adjust?

Fntn is so right. My husband just had his removed and some things bother him, others don't. We were told it is a trial and error kind of process. He was told to keep his fat below 50 grams a day for at least 6 months to see how he does. He tried a little peanut butter on an apple was violently ill. If you want to test it out, you could try a small amount of alcohol, see how you do
Good luck, Dee

This seems to vary from person to person. I've read stories from others that report the same alcohol intolerance issues. But there are others that have no issues at all. I have two friends without gallbladders and they enjoy their favorite beverages as before. And they don't seem to have any dietary constraints either.

I can't think of any biological reason for it but many have commented on having the problem. Seems to be a variable thing and the liver/biliary system is complex.
