BILIARY DYSKINESIA

I have been diagnosed with Biliary Dyskinesia with an EF of 36% and 3.3mm polyp on interior wall. I am scheduled to have my Gallbladder removed on May 25, due to the severe pains. Does anyone know if there is an alternative solution to the Surgery? I am scared!!! When the surgeon was going through the list of possible complications he mentioned DEATH! Has anyone else heard this?
