Distended bile duct

Distended bile duct

My problems started about Christmas time - I was going through an extrememly stressful period at work and all of a sudden one day my appetite just disappeared.  Very soon after this I was admitted to hospital with ? an appendicitis.  All tests were negative but I was booked for a gastroscopy which showed a small hiatus hernia - nausea (in waves) and loss of appetite continued.  In all honesty I have a feeling in my stomach like its in knots (it isnt and for no reason).  Things seem to be worse in the morning but the waves of nausea come through out the day.  I very rarely feel hungry anymore but I do eat when its time too and my weight has remained stable (although Im overweight).  I have very offensive smelling stools which started arond the same time, they are also very sticky and have some bloating although this is not constant. I had colonoscopy where a polyp was found - sessile but benign.  Have had lots of blood tests all cancer markers - all NAD.  Had CT scan done last week all was normal  except that it showed a distended bile duct. I am waiting for follow up from my gastroenterologist.  My symptoms have been consistent since christmas and its really getting me down as I dont want to feel like this forever.  When I google distended bile duct very little comes up other than gallstones although I have never had  upper abdominal pain.  I feel like Im going crazy my husband thinks that its all in my head - any ideas??

You posted this about a month ago, did you ever find the cause or get treatment?  Curious to hear how things are going.
