I had a severe gallbladder attack on October 19th, 2011. The ER admitted me to the hospital that night, and the next day, a surgeon said she wasn't going to proceed with more testing, she was just sending me to surgery. I had surgery on the 20th, was sent home the 21st, and have been healing great.
My question is in regards to my menstrual cycle. My LMP is October 1, 2011. Normally, my cycle is 31 days, so I should have begun again on November 1, 2011. However, my cycle before last was 37 days, so even with that in mind, I should have begun again on November 7th. My fiance and I are trying to conceive but I wasn't able to pinpoint when I ovulated so I'm not sure if it was before surgery or after. We covered all bases at any rate and DTD before and after surgery.
On November 4th and 5th, I had some very minor spotting. It was barely there and didn't require a liner, tampon, etc. Since then, nothing. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests and they're both negative. I know that surgery can screw up someones cycle but is it possible to screw it up this much? Is there a chance that I'm pregnant and it's just too early to pick up on a test, or are my hormones still out of whack? If it's the latter, how long should I wait before I ask my OB for a blood test? I'm due for a year exam in December.
Symptoms I've been having the last few days:
-Tired (mom to an active 2 year old though)
-Nauseated at random points of the day
-Cranky and irritated easily (I stubbed my toe on the wall yesterday morning and reacted BADLY)
-Heartburn like crazy
-Dark green stool (not diarrhea though)
Thank you, anyone who has any advice....
