Question on keyhole gallbladder surgery

I am due to have my Gallbladder removed on Monday. I have read many stories about symptoms post surgery and I'm very concerned! However I have to face it and get it over and done with and only hope for the best. I wanted to ask, how go they stitch up the hole inside the belly button? I hate my deep belly button, you think the surgeon would remove my canal and seal it for me, leaving me with a much shallower one? Might sound strange but hey we are all different lol :)

Had surgery yesterday. All went well, but I am in so much pain, no pain killers are working. Going home today though. Scars look and feel more bad then expected. Eating and drinking normal. Even the simpist tasks are veery hard

Oh Jaqua2,

I am so sorry to read your post ... please know my thoughts are with you at this stressful time.  I cannot think, either, what they revealed --- maybe try to tell yourself this whole operation was meant to be .. and you'll be in good hands.

PS:  I came on to post my daughter had the surgery at age 17 a few yrs ago and you can hardly see her tiny scars.

Just had a call from the hospital and they said they found abnormalities in my blood results :( they've asked me to come straight in to re-do test. Also they want me to do an MRI scan, I'm very worried and they are not telling me why? :'( they said my operation won't go ahead if I don't get these tests done.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Gall bladder removal can cause fatty food intolerance, so try to avoid all oily and deep fried food. Try to take frequent small meals. As for the suturing techniques you may have to discuss this with your doctor.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
