I had a Hilda scan done and it came back a 13% ejection at 30 min. Post-sincalide. In the past two years I've gained over 25lbs. I exercise and just have the hardest time losing one pound. Will gallbladder removal make me gain more? I've read horror stories on people gaining over 50lbs. Can someone please help?
Although you haven't mentioned any reason why the HIDA was done in the first place, it may be appropriate to check your thyroid function before deciding on the gallbladder issue. The only patients that I have seen that gained weight after cholecystectomy were those who had lost weight pre-op due to fear of eating secondary to pain that food brought on.
