When can I drive after laparoscopic gallbladder removal?

I had my gallbladder removed Wednesday. My discharge instructions said I could drive 3-5 days after surgery, but other people who have had it done are saying not to drive for a week. My pain is pretty much gone, but I have stiffness in the muscles around my 4 incisions. I'm not taking anywhere near as many painkillers either.

Anyone know a definate date for being able to return behind the wheel?

My criteria are that you are completely off narcotic pain killers and feeling alert. One should not attempt to drive while consuming narcotics.
