swelling from gallbladder surgery

I need some help please!!!! I had emergency gallbladder surgery 3 weeks ago. Went to er in severe pain after tests was told gallbladder was extremely inflamed and had 2 gallstones the size of golf balls. So right up to OR I went.  After surgery i felt good, i was up walking to bathroom eating clear liquids. The next day my heart rate started increasing and blood pressure was dropping. Well later that evening bp crashed they drew blood and my hemaglobin went from 14 to 5. So 3 blood transfusions later i started feeling better. Next came the horrible swelling and bruising, third spacing everywhere. Fast forward 3 weeks and yes im not as swollen but its not like it was prior to surgery. I still am bloated, including my private area! Still swollen there too! How long does it take for all the blood to reabsorb? Like i said it has been 3 weeks and i still look pregnant, my belly is hard in spots, still swollen in legs, butt, and lower frontal area if you get my point. I am beyond frusterated by this point! Please help

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, the edema could be due to hypoproteinemia or due to heart failure due to anemia. Check with your doctor regarding this to find out the cause for the anemia. In the meantime try to take balanced meals with plenty of green leafy vegetables and rich protein diet. Take care. Regards.
