My daughter had hers removed at age 17 and her acid reflux symptoms went away 100%
thank you all for your advice and help, wishing all good health and peace, and happiness,
I am glad you did pop in,my surgery went good, and my recover better, and I also am having no problems from my acid reflex ,the gallbladder seen to have a connection between cholesterol and Thyroid,my cholesterol raise before my surgery and that is when I found out my thyroid was hypo ,thank you Carrie
I had acid reflux because of my gallbladder. Removing my gallbladder took care of that problem. However, everyone is different. I was on my way to the thyroid forum but decided to pop in here (which I never do).
Anyhow, good luck to you!
glad to hear your surgery went good, and you are feeling better,is there certain foods you can not eat? I am thinking about going to a nutrition ,
Just had my gallbladder out on Thursday(March 20). I was miserable. My pain got worse.. I would have the surgery. Little sore but no big deal..
I had my gallbladder surgery and it went great,I am not having the problems I read about, just a tiny bit sore,I feel so much better, thank you
Hi, its unlikely that removal of the gallbladder may affect the acid reflex. Any structural abnormalities of the gall bladder like stones or polyps need surgical correction. It is certainly likely that your symptoms relate to the gallbladder but removal would be indicated based on the size of the gallstone/polyp alone. Please follow up with your doctor. Regards.
