ESOPHAGEAL RESECTION

ESOPHAGEAL RESECTION

Back in 1992 I  had an esophageal resection performed where 75% of the esophagas and 50% of the stomach was removed.  The surgery was succesful, however, the lasting side effects have been bothersome.  My main problem at this point is night time reflux that injests stomach fluids into the lungs which is very painful.  I currently take two acid/reflux pills plus gaviscon as prescribed.  However, for some reason they don't always work.  I also use an adjustable bed to raise my upper body up at least 10 inches.  Is there anything else I can take orally or any other suggical procedure available to relieve this problem once and for all?
