1.5 mm gallstone

1.5 mm gallstone

Can a 1.5 mm gallstone be removed without surgery?  I have pain in the lower right adomine. An ultrasound 2 days ago showed one single stone.  I was first told that it was Diverticulitis. However, for a bout 4 years, when ever a had a check up and a doc touched the area it was painful. For the first year or so, if no one was palpitating the area, the pain would come and go.  For the last year, I would wake up with pain in the morning.  Some times I can not sleep on my side at night. Many mornings I wake up with a pain that lessens when I go to work and block it.  Contact with the area during sex or playing with kids or dogs, etc. is painfull.  I have always watched my diet, because since I was a child, I could not tolerate fried or fatty foods. When I was younger - they would just pass right through. Now I experience nosia more and more , when I eat too much or the wrong thing. I have never smoked & do not drink because it has always given me abdominal pain.

I have read the other articles & surgery doesn't seem to solve the other people's problems on this site.  I have my own business & need to work.  Too much time off could be disasterous.

I had my gallbladder out 6 years ago by Lazer surgery. I was in the hospital 2 days. Would have been out in just one but I developed complications due to the anastesia. I was a little sore afterwards but I was right back into work the day after I cam home. Depending on what you do, you could be too. People at work helped me with any heavy or strenious stuff so it worked out. Good Luck and rest easy knowing it is one very easy and almost painless surgery should you have to have it. If you don't already know the lazer surgery just consists of 4 very small/tiny incisions. It's not like the old days where you had one major incision. :)
