2yr with identifiable poop

we have a 2yr old girl who seems to have a very fast digestive track.  on many occations the day after a meal with carrots, greenbeans, hamberger, or chiken we can readilly identify the food and it is also accompanied usually by runny or very soft stool that will burn her skin, she did not have this problem until she completely came of breast milk and started a reg diete. ther is no history of ibs in our family but she has these spells where she will be normal and later that day will have 2-3 looses stools and then back to normal for long periods at a time. she does have conginital scoliosis and a partial sacreal agenesis could she maybe have a short digestive track or a  absorbtion problem?

Sounds like she just may not be chewing enough?  Scoliosis shouldn't affect digestion usually, but I don't know about the other condition.  How long did she breastfeed?  Long term breastfeeding offers so much protection for the digestive system in general:-)  Maybe try offering those foods one at a time along with something really soft (mashed potatoes?) and see what happens.  I work with infants and toddlers and I can tell you this is very common, especially when hard-to-digest foods are introduced too soon, although 2 years is usually ok for most foods.

Probably not.  It seems that they get sore bottoms just because the food isn't digested well.  Believe me, I've seen everything a child could eat and not digest:-) I used to take care of an 18 month old who only visited dad on the weekends - he would feed her raisins, peanuts and other junk and I would be cleaning up the undigested food until Tuesday and trying to clean up the rash until Friday.  Then he would do it all over again!  Finally, I told the mom he had to get on track with proper food for the kid or I was going to feed her junk during the week and let HIM clean up over the weekend!  (Just kidding, of course, but he got the message...)

Just curious, if you feed her the same foods in puree form (like commercial baby food) what happens?  That would be a good test to see if it is just a chewing thing.

if it is vegetables like in a level 3 food she just passes them, she also does the same thing with hamburger, chiken, lettace, and beans so if she is not chewing is she digesting and absorbing do you know? she is very  small she wighs only 22lb and 31 1\2 in at 25 mo.

So she DOES digest them if it is pureed?  In that case i would say it's just the chewing and maybe you should not get too worried about it just yet.  She IS small but as long as she is growing along her own curve, that is usually ok, as I am sure your doctor has told you already:-)  My own kids were huge (1st was 10 lbs at birth and "only" 25 lbs at one year - not even triple his birth weight like they are supposed to be but plenty big enough!) so I never use them to measure other kids by.

Possible celiac problem-had as a child-food not digesting properly or fully-when stool usually green-with mucous-was placed on goats milk and controlled diet.

Possibility?
