ABDOMINAL PAIN THAT RADIATES TO KIDNEY AREA

Subject: ABDOMINAL PAIN THAT RADIATES TO KIDNEY AREA

Forum: The Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases Forum

During September and Obtober of 1998, I suffered a weight loss of 25 pounds, from my normal 140 weight.  After seeing several doctors, primary care, gastroentrologist, endocrinologst and mental health, I have been diagnosed as having anxiety, depression, hypoglycemia and pancreatic enzyme deffiency.  However a reoccuring abdominal pain has surfaced again.  I have been dealing with this pain on and off over the last 5-6 years, with no definite diagnosis.  The pain wakes me up out of a dead sleep.  It starts in the middle of the abdomin (abdomen), just below the strenum, and radiates to the back area where it feels as if both my kidneys are about to burst.  Taking a deep breath onky worsens the pain.  Sometimes the pain goes away by itself and other times when I get up and urinate.  My GI, has recently ordered a sonogram of the abdomin (abdomen) area.  What could be some of the other possibilities of this night time pain.  I'm getting tired of doctors and being a walking pharmacy.  I am currently on Zoloft, Clonazepam, pancrealipase and Zantact.  I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer, my medical research has turned up several possibilities.  Thank you.
