ACID BURN PROBLEM

I have experienced a burning feeling in my stomach at bed times
for 2-3 years.  This usually happens 2-3 nights a week and is worse
when you move or change sides in bed.
Also after a night drinking alcohol I wake up in the morning with
a burning feeling in my stomach and nausea, even after low amounts.
I let this problem go on until recently I went off my food had nausea
burping, belching, feeling of fullness, pressure.
  Doctor says this is GERD.
  Blood Test Clear
Another problem I have is when I urinate my eyes always water
  Is this connected or serious?
Whats your evaluation on my condition.
  I now take Losec. 20mg

dear Greg,
Your symptoms are suggestve for reflux.  before initiating any tests, you should try lifestyle modifications e.g. 3 meals . no snacks, no alcohol or cigaretttes, avoid fatty foods. I would also use over-the-counter H2 receptor antagonist e.g. Tagamet HB.  If you rsymptoms persist then you will require an endoscopy to confirm that you have esophagitis and to exclude other conditions e.g. ulcer, Barrett's esophagus.
This information is presented for educational purposes only.  Always ask specific questions to your personal physician.
