Abdomen, scrotal and rectum aching along with slight nausea after bowel movement

The last few weeks after some of my bowel movements, I go through about 30 minutes of dull aching in my abdomen all the way down to my rectum and sometimes in my scrotal area. This discomfort has started to be accompanied by slight nausea. And it seems to be getting worse. I'm a 35 year-old male, and I usually have bm's every day. My only health issue is migraines and I'm taking atenolol as a migraine prophylactic. Over the last year, I've suspected I might be having a prostate issue as I get an occasional, random(maybe once a week) twinge of sharp pain inside the rectal area. Does this sound like a prostate issue that could be getting worse?

Looking for lower GI disease like inflammatory bowel disease as well as any colonic masses or polyps can be considered.  The best test to approach these considerations would be a colonoscopy.

If the prostate is a concern, a digital rectal exam to palpate the prostate as well as a transrectal ultrasound can be considered.

I would also consider imaging the abdomen with a CT scan.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

My husband is experiencing burning pains in his upper right stomach. This discomfort is really felt when he's sitting down. The pain goes through the anus, abdomen and genital area. We tried transrectal and whole abdominal ultrasound. He was found to have prostatitis and kidney stone. And is taking medications now. We had colonoscopy also and one polyps was removed. What I want to know is that, he's been taking medications for a month now, why is he still having these pains? I really need help. Please advise. Thank you and God bless.
