Adenocarcinoid

Adenocarcinoid

I had  on going lrq pain.  After some period of time the dr finally performed an appendectomy.  Much to my surprise and even more to his the pathology report stated " mixed tubular goblet cell carcinoid"  This tumor has various names including adenocarcinoid.  A composite tumor with features of both common carcinoid and adenocarcinoma.  At first I was told all that was needed was the appendectomy.  Then  Iwas advised to under go a right hemicolectomy.  This was perfomed about 3 months later.  This was clear. I have been followed by ct scans and blood tests.
My most recent ct scan show "mildly dilated small bowel loops and adjacent mesentery"  impression states could be from partila small bowel obstruction.
My question is:  do you have any information concerning the adenocarcinoid and its course?   WOuld the ct scan be a red flag?  Or is likely to be from past surgeries?  Thank you for any input you can add.

What did the doctor tell you?

Where was the primary cancer located? Have you had any other test like a sigmoid scope?
