After pancreatitis?

After pancreatitis?

In Jan 2002 I had an ERCP to remove a polyp in my small intestine.  I ended up getting pancreatitis, and spending a week in the hospital, but have recovered.

My question is, is it normal to still feel occasional twinges or discomfort (under my ribs on the left side)  I notice it more if I haven't been sticking to my low fat diet, but it generally is there all the time.  I have no other symptoms, and generally feel good.  My gall bladder, etc. were normal as well, never had any problems with it.  I've read a number of posts where people had pancreatitis, and still feel lousy, but was wondering if anyone has had it, and for the most part feels better, but still has the discomfort.

Thanks!

i am 20 years old and in november i came down with a sudden case of panreatitis.  i was also in the hospital for a week and the doctor could find no reason for my condition.  i only watched my diet for a few days after i was out of the hospital and i have not had any symptoms since.  i would not think that you should still be having discomfort on a regular basis.  if i were you, i would talk to the doctor and ask if your discomfort is normal and harmless.  good luck!
