Alpha Feto protein

Hi,
We have a 3 months old baby which we discovered that left side of the body is smaller then right side.Left leg is shorter 0.7 millimeters in total and the face is smaller. And the baby sleeps on the left side of the face almost always.
The doctors have claimed it to be " hemihypertrophy " probably. and they asked for blood tests. The AFP value was 225 ng/ml ( which was told to us to be very high ). Then we did the ultrasound check up of the brain the neck and the stomach area. They couldn't find any tumors at all. next week we will speak with genetics doctors.
We are wondering if this high value of AFP is a sign of a cancer of liver in our baby or is it a result of the hemihypertropy disease. What can we do to lower down the AFP levels . We were told so far that the baby has to be under close doctor control. Is there any way we can get rid of this cancer ( if there is ) and if not how can we prevent it from grower in the future .
And what steps should we do now if we were your patients or ideas . Thank you very much.
