Amylase level-- elevated.... HELP.

i have been having pain below my right rib cage for around a month now.i have had an sonogram of my gall bladder/liver and it was fine.well, i am still in a lot of pain-- i went to the ER in another town last night and they told me my amylase was elevated but lipase and liver panel was fine. the doctor said it was my gall bladder. my shrink says if you have blood taken enough, eventually something will show up. is this likely my gall bladder? my cbc was normal but i have been running a low grade temp-- and i had a hep C test and it was normal.lastly, my stools are not normal-- they are loose kind of-- and almost orange.

Hi, I've also had elevated amylase and it now is slightly elevated all the time. I've had numerous attacks of pancreatitis and found out I have an abnormalty in my bile duct and a narrowing in my pancreatic duct, I've also had the low grade fevers on and off and the orange weird colored stools, maybe your doctor should look into a possible pancreatic problem. good luck,and I hope your feeling better soon,
