Anal Bleeding? Help Please

Anal Bleeding? Help Please

Hi, Im 24yrs old, male, I exercise 3-5 times a week, cardio as well as weight bearing, and for at least the past 6 years I have had a little bit of blood on the toilet paper sometimes very little, a few times it was heavy. Most of the time there is none at all. For the past 3 yrs i know that there are 2 little eraser size "sacks" around the anus. There is never any discomfort nothing is sensitive to the touch. I assumed the bleeding was because i was very self conscious about the area and would wipe for atleast 15 minutes every bowel movement. I was in the restroom usually around an hour never constipated just liked to feel empty, nothing ever hurt coming out. Could i have agitated something, could it be cancer? I am going to the Dr finally next week for the first time about this. Just reading everything that it could be has made me sick to my stomach.

Common causes of rectal bleeding in a 24-year old would include hemorrhoids or an anal fissure.  Less common causes would be a polyp, cancer, or inflammatory bowel disease.

A rectal exam by a physician would be helpful.  A lower endoscopy can be considered (i.e. a flexible sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy) to evaluate the bleeding.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

also the stool has never had any blood on it nor am i bleeding right after, it is only after i continue to wipe a few times that it starts to bleed. i assume the "sacks" are hemorrhoids i have never put anything on them or tried any medicine to shrink or cure them.

I am a 26 year female and I would say that I have seen blood in my stool about 5 times in the past 2-3 years. The first time I saw blood was at home and it was around the stool and looked like a line or vein-like shape wrapped around the stool. During this time it was also green in color. I don't check my stool every single day, but when I get a chance to I do. I had noticed in a long time until now. Today the 4th of August I noticed it again. The stool was almost covered with red blood. There were two pieces, but only one of them had the blood. When i wipe myself I see little drops of blood on the paper, but I've noticed that it's coming from underneath the anus, in the part that seperates the vagina and the anus, I would say the wrinkly part. There is some pain at times and also when I release it. There are times when I have a lot gas during a time of the day, but I haven't for some time now. I have been diagnosed with gastritis and am currently taking zantac (which helps). Lately I have been feeling very itchy around the anus (maybe like 3 months) it's not every day, but it is pretty often. I had my stool examined for traces of blood and came back negative, there was not race of blood. This past monday I started having pain in my left lower side that starts very low in the pelvic area and then travels up lose to the top of my stomach. I have been doing research and am pretty frigtened about what I've read. I've read colon cancer, and fissures, or hemorhoids and other diseases, but what most worries me is colon cancer. I tend to jump to the worse conclusion and I like the person before me feel a little sick to my stomach. I haven't been checked for any of this, my doctor has taken a look just on the surface, but didn't notice anything weird. I feel like I can type for ever, but I'd like to hear someon'es point of view, possible a doctor or maybe someone that has or is going through the same thing as I.
-Thanks

You could have irritated the skin to cause bleeding. Also it could be hemmorhoids, which can cause bleeding. Bring it up with your doctor if you haven't. He should be able to give you some comfort. A simple rectal examination might find the problem.

Excessive wiping can definitely lead to irritation and bleeding.

I've experienced this firsthand, so to speak.

last month Iposted a comment of blood in the stool after that time I have checked my stool almost everday and have not seen any visible blood in or on my stool. I told my doctor that U was very scard and worried that it might colon cancer. She told me not likely cause of my age and no history in my family. Still I told her that I wasn't going to rule it out just because of those reasons. SO she told me she was going to do a bairum enema. I just had it last week on wednesday, and my results have not been given to me yet. The radiologist told me it takes about 5 days for the results so I am still waiting. I have been so stressed and worried that it affects my personal life and I pretty much can't have a normaol life when I am stressed r when I worry. I am also dealing with other female (26) problems that have ne so worried. It's mostly the worrying that affects my eating habits and sleeping also. I have negative thoughts ever since before the BM test.
My symptoms were pretty much that one time I saw the blood back in August and before that I had seen it a couple of years ago after my gastritis symptoms were present. I have also been itching around my anus. It is not everyday but often. I don't have pain when I have a bowel movement, but I remember of some occasions where I did not severe, but I did. I haven't in a while I don't even remember when the last time was. I don't have any other symptoms, I don't bleed from my rectum when I urinate, I've only seen it on my stool and little small tiny specs of blood outside the rectum around the anus. What else should I do?

I'm a 22 year old female and ever since I was 9 years old and when ever I void out of my rectum and wiped I always see blood on the toilet paper.  I told my mom about it and she thinks it might be a ulcer.  And she also told me that colon cancer runs in the family.  What should I do?
