Any Ideas? Stomach Problems

I am a 25 year old male 6 ft 180 lbs. Around 6 months ago I felt a pain in my stomach that may have been acid reflux but was very severe compared to the acid reflux ive experienced in the past. This pain did not come after eating anything. It subsided after an hour. A couple months later the same pain came on again. By this time I had told my fam doc about it and he gave me some sample packets of prevacid. I took the prevacid after the pain came on and the pain eventually went away. Two weeks ago the pain came on again and lasted about two hours. I took a prevacid as soon as i felt it but it didnt seem to help. Once the pain subsided, it turned into straight nausea. I went through the next few days with the nausea. After a few days i woke up in the night with the nasuea pretty bad. By morning I managed to drive myself to the emergency room.they took blood, X-rays, and a CT scan. The doctor said that my bloodwork showed elevated liver enzymes but all the other tests were normal and they wanted me to follow up with my family doctor. So i scheduled a appt. with my family doctor. This entire time I'm still nasueated (going on a week). Also, the entire time my urine was really dark! Sometimes during the day I would eat something and  it didnt bother me. So when i got to my doctor he read the ct scan results. It showed my bile duct(s) are inflammed. So my family doctor scheduled an appt.for me with a Gastroenterologist. My family doctor also took bloodwork at his office because my liver enzymes were elevated from the bloodwork i had done at the hospital. By the time i got into my gastro appt., i felt close to better and my urine was back to normal color. So my gastro guy read all the test and said the bloodwork i had done at my family doctors office still showed high liver enzymes. He ordered me to get more bloodwork and he scheduled me an upper GI. I had the uper GI done 3 days ago. He didnt find anything. So i go for a mri in two days. whats wrong with me?

I can't give a definitive diagnosis over the internet.

That said, I agree with the testing thus far.  If the upper GI is negative, I would proceed with an upper endoscopy.  This is a comprehensive test to evaluate the esophagus, stomach and small intestine, looking for masses, ulcers or GERD.

Regarding the elevated liver enzymes and inflamed biliary ducts, I agree with the MRCP - which is likely the MRI that is being considered by your GI specialist.

If the tests remain negative, a liver biopsy can be considered to give a more definitive reason for the elevated enzymes.

These options can be discussed with your medical team.
