Canker Sores and Crohn's Disease?

For the past 3 years, I have been getting recurrent canker sores. They would apprear twice a month. They disappeared only when I was in my secong and third trimester of pregnancy. I did various tests and a colonoscopy to rule out Crohn's disease. I also did the ASCA and ANCA blood tests. My colonsocopy was normal. ANCA was negative but ASCA was positive. I dont have the classic symptoms of Crohn's (diarrhea).
is a positive ASCA an indicator of Crohn's? My GI doctor said that my case is sub- clinical - like I almost dont have it.

I agree that there may be a connection between oral sores and Crohn's disease.

ANCA negative but ASCA positive can be present in Crohn's disease, and further evaluation may be warranted.

This can include imaging to look at the small bowel, such as a small bowel series, as well as additional antibody tests, like the anti-OmpC antibody.

These options can be discussed with your GI physician.

ok but can someone have Crohn's disease without the classic symptoms?

could the canker sores also be related to the reflux or the H.Pylori bacteria?
