Celiac Disease?

I have a certain amount of abdominal pain (never too intense but always present).  I also have some slight neuropathy in my left side.  MRI and CAT scans (together with ultra sound and stress test) seem to have ruled out gallbladder issues, ulcers, tumors, MS, heart problems, etc.  

Here are my questions:

1) Is it possible I have Celiac's?  I have chronic canker sores (always have at least one sometimes as many as 3 to 5), constant abdominal pain (never too bad, but always present) and some neuropathy (slight tingling in my face and hands and feet).  My GI did perform an endoscope and the biopsy came back negative.  I have read that it is possible to have Celiac's even with a negative endoscope biopsy.  Is that true?

2)  What is the best test to determine whether I have Celiac's?

3)  Assuming it is Celiac's can taking B vitamin supplements help with the neuropathy?

You have indeed had a comprehensive evaluation that would have ruled out the major GI disorders.

1) Celiac is indeed possible.  A negative biopsy would make the diagnosis less likely.  Obtaining blood antibody tests looking for celiac disease can be considered.

2) Depending on your physician's index of suspicion, blood antibody tests or a small bowel biopsy would be appropriate tests to look for celiac disease.  These options can be discussed with a GI physician.

3) Neurologic symptoms can indeed present with celiac disease.  If there is an associated B12 deficiency, taking supplements can help.  Obtaining serum B12 levels can help in the diagnosis.
