Chest pains related to Gall Bladder?

Posted By CMR on July 31, 1998 at 12:51:53:

Began hurting between rib cage (high) while pregnant. OB stated that it could only be a hernia that high and the chances of that were slim.  Delivered baby in March, 1998 and pain persisted.  One month ago, began having chest pains, some feel like cramps and some are sharp.  The cramp style are on the left hand side beginning at the top of the rib cage.  The sharp style are on the right lower rib cage and center.  Went to emergency room with chest pains 10 days ago and they ruled out my heart by taking an e.k.g.  They gave me a "pink lady" and that numbed me and the pain subsided.  They stated that my esophagus was having "spasms".  Put me on prilosic and follow up with my doctor.  Pain in chest continued (mostly at night or first thing in morning).  Went to my physician.  He seems worried that it is my gall bladder.  Does gall bladder trouble cause chest pains?  I am scheduled for a sonogram of the gall bladder but chest pains are still evident.  Please help!
