Colon is bleeding

Dear Dr.?,
I came upon your site on and this is my first time telling anyone about this but sence the begening of this year my colon has been bleeding.  It started with just a little blood but now is a a ghastly amount...I feel insencure telling anyone about this so if in anyway possible could u send me an email and tell me what is wrong?  I will thank you so very much.

hello i to waited because of stupidity or embarassment,almost to long!! now ive had my large intestine and three foot of my small removed because of fap and desmoid tumers and colon cancer...
im only 34 yrs old.. i hope you go to a doctor soon!!!!!! get over the embarassment(sp)it could kill you..

I assume you have been to a doctor who has told you the bleeding is comming from your colon. If not, do not assume anything. See your doctor immediately. Hemorrhoids can cause bleeding from the rectum. Colon cancer can also cause bleeding from the rectum. The good news is that colon cancer is a slow-growing cancer that, if found early can be cured. If you haven't been to a doctor, go immediately as your chances for a cure are greater the sooner it is detected.
