Colon mx Liver

I have three liver lesions 3.2cm, 4.2cm, 2.9cm, close together but on different lobes of the liver. Are these suitable for RF ablation treatment? If not, what treatment is best suited to this?

Typically, RF ablation is used for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, particularly with cirrotic patients.

That being said, there are many causes of liver lesions other than cancer (i.e. cysts, non-cancerous tumors etc.) and you have to pin down the diagnosis before treatment is considered.

If you are indeed dealing with heaptocellular carcinoma, there are other non-surgical methods available, including percutaneous ethanol injection, laser thermal ablation or chemoembolization.

You may want to discuss these options with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
