Concerns of my whipple disease

I am a 44 yr old male diagnosed with whipple disease 2 months ago.  I suspect I have had this disease for some time - not sure how long but i was being treated for stills arthritis for the last four years and it was a miss diagnosis.  I also have a severe case of scolosis in my spine which causes me great pain.  During my last MRI trying to find where my back pain was coming from they found a verdabre that is black.  Could this be the progression of the whipple disease.  I have had 1 mo antibiotic therophy and am now on oral.  Last wekk I had a surgical biopsy on the spine but don't have the results back yet.  It was sent to Mayo Clinic.  My fear is that my doctors don't know much about whipples.  Is it possible to detect the whipple in my spine?  Any resources on whipples disease will also be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Jim Weldon
