Crohn's in small intestines only?

Crohn's in small intestines only?

Can a person have Crohns in the small intestines only?  No involvement
of the colon?  The reason I'm asking is because I had a colonscope ran
to r/o crohn's and ulcerative colitis and both were ruled out but I still
have the blood in my stools and have the pain and when they did a mrcp
they said they seen scarring in my small intestines and I've not had any
abd surgery except a lap gallbadder removal.  (Had an ercp that I got
pancreatitis from but got better).  My doctor thinks I still have the
symptoms of Crohn's but I don't understand if they did the scope then
wouldn't they see it in my colon?  Can it be only in your small intestines?
Thank you for the information.  It really helps to understand what
you are looking for and what the outcome is.
Dear Charlotte,
Crohn's disease can affect all parts of the gastrointestinal tract from mouth to anus. The colon alone is involved in 30% of cases, the small intestine alone in 40% of cases and both the small and large intestine in 30% of cases. Inflammation is segmental and discontinuous and extends through all layers of the bowel. A small bowel x-ray can suggest the diagnosis of small bowel Crohn's disease. I hope you find this information helpful.
