Displacia

My wife was recently told by a physican that she may have this disease, We do not know what it is and what causes it.  What is treatment for it or can it be treted.  We would really like to learn more. I was on the internet and could not find anything.  She has a hard time swallowing and the acid relux disease does not help any, it does not matter what she eats, she still experiences the same thing.  Any help in determine what this is and any other specialist that she needs to see besides a gastrointerologist(sp?) thanks
