ELEVATED LIVER ENZYMES

my son has had elevated liver enzymes for 3 weeks now. the dr has not told him the numbers but last week he was jaundice had dark colored urine very tired nauseated. went to the emergency room they thought he might have hepatitis, but all came back negative for that. now his jaundice is gone but he is having pain in his joints and it seems to be moving down his body. the dr is at this time monotoring his levels and he has another blood test in a few days. could this all be connected???

Ask the doctor for these numbers from the blood tests:

ALT
AST
Alkaline Phosphatase
GGT
Bilirubin
Albumin

(Simplest way, is to write those down on a list, hand it to the doctor and say "Can I have these numbers?")

The symptoms you describe are very serious.  Elevated liver enzymes means that his liver is inflamed.  Please see a doctor.

Has he taken any statin drugs? I have problems from the re-called "Baycol" drug. Many drugs on the market cause liver damage. This is a very serious problem. The message about numbers on the tests is very important. Ask questions ?
