Elevated Liver Enzymes

Elevated Liver Enzymes

   Hi, I am 40 years old, 5' 7", 165 #'s. I just had a liver function test,
as I am currently taking Serzone, 300 mgs. for depression.
   The test came back w/ AST @ 41, & ALT @ 92.
I took Serzone 3 years ago because I was addicted to coccaine, for
2 years(after my painful divorce). When I was young I experimented with all substances around.I have been clean ever since except for 5- 8 beers or glasses of wine.
I had hepatitis, (not sure which kind, I was 15 year old runaway and caught it off a
cup)I was at home in bed and delerious for about a month.
What do these elevations mean? I am afraid to stop taking Serzone as it really helps my depression.
While it will be hard I have no problem with quitting alcohal (alcohol).
I just got a copy of my prior blood work done in June. AST @ 23 & ALT @ 38.
I am now a fairly normal mother of 4 who would like to be around for my children.
Paying the price for my youth.
Can you help my understanding. Do you think I will need to quit the Serzone?
