Enteritis

A 69 female complains of always feeling full.  She has no pain but cannot eat.  She has lost her appetite and as a result she has lost a lot of weight.  She is from Hungary and has never had any serious health problems before.  She tries not to worry as she visits 2 or more different physicians and they tell her they can't find anything.  The first doctor diagnosed a virus and gave an antibiotic.  But this was 3 months ago.  And still she has the same symptoms.

She does have trouble sleeping on her side, due to feeling pressure, but no severe pain or bleeding.

Please help us in finding an expert who is familiar with these type of symptoms.  She's a women who cares about her health and respects the medical profession.  She would really like to put herself at ease about this.

    Thank you in advance.

I have major problems with nausea and my stomach but no ulcers.  There are many GI tract conditions related to the symptoms you describe and many tests to be performed.  I had 2 upper GIs, 1 Sygmoidoscopy (1997), and blood tests.  Everything came back normal.  My doctor does not think I need a scope.  I often take Promethazine (which makes me drowsy) but takes the nausea away. The key for me to keep food down is to eat around 11:00 am. I can't keep any foods down in the morning and it's been that way for 13 years since I had my child.
