Fat in the stomach

Dear sir / Madam, my friend gas been having stomach achs. She was diagnost with the following:

stomach is slightly enlarged in size.

there is no herinia of linea  alba and no evevteration.

there is moderate thickened epigastric subcutaneous fat tissue with significant texture abnormality

She was advised to have surgery done to remove the fat.

Is there any medicines that can cure this case? or is surgery the only solution?
