Followup Question on gall bladder removal

Thanks for answering my original question.  I have a followup.  My hesitancy in going ahead with surgery is due to the fact that I have both a 17% ejection fraction on the HIDA scan, lack of significant RUQ pain, and a diagnosis of moderately severe gastritis in the antrum.  There is also a 2 cm sliding hiatal hernia visible in the esophagus.    

Naturally I wonder if my abdominal discomfort is due to the gastritis and not the gall bladder.  One item of note is that I have been on Protonix for weeks and it doesn't seem to help much.  My doctor places much more emphasis on the HIDA results than the endoscopy (gastritis).  

Have you seen the simultaneous conditions of a low ejection fraction and gastritis before?  I would appreciate your view on this.  Thanks.

The pain being caused by gastritis is possible.  

If there is no significant RUQ pain, you can consider further working up for gastritis.  

Blood tests looking for H Pylori can be done as a next step (if not already done during the endoscopy).  

If the Protonix isn't helping, a 24-hr pH study can be considered to definitively rule out acid disorders.

The combination of low GB ejection fraction and gastritis would not be uncommon.

I feel your pain this is my situation I was having pain for a while it was so severe i thought i was having a kid. my doctor said it was my gallbladder so we did a cat scan and that showed stones. i dont know much about medicine but i know my body i told my doc the pain i was feeling was not from that i went ahead and had my gallbladder removed and still have the pain. my surgery was just a couple of days ago but what worrys me is that i spoke to someone that had the same surgery and she said that she had a drain after surgery i didnt know so i dont know if that is an issue or not. my doc said that i didnt need one that a lot of people dont use them. but i had the sever pain and diarrea (diarrhea) one day constipated the next and the pain i would get was with anything not food related. i could have water and get the pain. i just want to know if i did the wrong thing by having my gallbladder removed...what if that was not that was not the issue?????? mu doc did tell me before doing the surgery that he could not be 100% sure as to what was causing my pain. im just confused.
