Gallbladder surgery as it relates to Hepatitis

I am scheduled for gallbladder surgery next week. I am concerned that since I suffered from Hepatitis, some 25 years ago ( Type A)
that removal of the gallblader (gallbladder) will require my liver to work harder.I am also concerned about my cholesterol level will it elevate after removal of gallbladder, I am currently at around 240 level with very low HDL ( 29 ).
Thank you........ joey349

I am not aware of hepatitis A being a contraindication to gallbladder removal.

I am also not aware that removing the gallbladder will make the liver "work harder".  The gallbladder stores and concentrates bile that is produced in the liver and its removal should not be a detriment to liver function.

Also, I do not believe there is a correlation between gallbladder removal and cholesterol levels.
